Eastbourne Arts Circle – AGM – Fri 16 Apr 2021 at 1pm on Zoom

Dear Members,

The AGM of the Eastbourne Arts Circle will take place on Friday 16th April 2021 at 1300 as a Zoom meeting. This is because we are unable to hold the usual meeting in person due to the pandemic regulations.

All those members who wish to attend are asked to email the charity (Eastbourneartscircleoffice@gmail.com) to advise us, and this will ensure you are sent a email link by our administration team prior to the event, to enable you to log on to the meeting.

All members are entitled to attend the AGM, and there is no charge for attendance. (Members are advised that the meeting security details for the AGM at 1pm on 16 April will be different from the Zoom meeting for our lecture meeting at 2.30pm on the same day, for which a charge is made and tickets are available from the treasurer.)

Eastbourne Arts Circle Meetings move to Zoom

With effect from 1 February 2021, Eastbourne Arts Circle will be moving all our meetings to Zoom.

This will continue, while the Covid 19 pandemic has a hold of the country, and until social distancing regulations are relaxed to allow us to have 80 people in the Auditorium at the Towner Art Gallery again.

To encourage people to attend we have halved the price of attendance. Tickets will cost only £5 per person.

The first lecture to move to Zoom will be the lecture on Friday 19th February 2021 by Dr Prasannajit De Silva who will talk about Edwin Landseer (1802-1873). This will be followed by the lecture on Fri 19th March 2021 by Peter Scott on Gwen and Augustus John, the lecture on Fri 16th April by Dr Helen Rufus-Ward and Geraldine Alexander, on “Bringing India to Britain”

Please go to the events pages to find a link to the revised ticket booking form. All those who have purchased tickets will be sent an email link prior to the lecture, which will permit them to join us.

Zoom (participant) software is free, and can be used on Desktops, Laptops, Tablets and mobile phones as long as they have a camera and microphone.

Sir Philip Anson, our treasurer is happy to help any member requiring assistance setting up Zoom on their computer, tablet (either Apple or Android) or mobile smartphone.
